Finally! For the first time this week, the fog has lifted! I have been working against a white sheet for the past day and a half. It's still very foggy, I can see blue skies, but they are more of a light grayish blue, but it's a start.
By the way, I put in my two weeks at Colliers on Monday. I'll be moving down to the ID to work at Amazon for awhile. So, if anyone downtown wants to meet me for lunch, or stop in and check out the view from the 54th floor observation deck, better do it soon :)
Ok, so I know there's a lot of haters out there now, it being fashionable to not like Lost anymore and all. But if you have been paying attention to the show at all, I think it's worth it to check out this short clip on ABC's site.
For those of you who aren't up-to-the-minute on Lost, and haven't been keeping up, the answer to all of your questions about this clip is "I have no idea. They haven't explained or even hinted at the place/thing/vehicle/conversation in this scene. And no, the two characters in it aren't even on the same island right now.

1. Elaborate on your default icon. -- It's me at the Triple door checking out the giant fish tank in the bar. I've been there a few times, each one for a special event of some sort or another. Tina made it, and I have been too lazy to change it :)
2. What's your current relationship status? -- I am domestically partnered with my sweetums.
3. Ever have a near-death experience? -- Not really, no. I did have one of those dreams where you trip and fall and wake up just before you die, except I didn't wake up and I died, and found death to be pretty boring.
4. Name an obvious quality you have. -- I am awesome.
5. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now? -- Lady Marmalade. In fact, the only reason I'm doing this quiz (that I created) is because I thought it was cool that Kim and I had the same song stuck in our head. I downloaded the song to my phone (first time using sprint's music store, pretty rad btw) and forced Tina to listen to it the other night, hoping to get it out of my head. Incidentally, the correct phrase is Voulez-vous coucher avec moi (ce soir).
6. Name a celebrity you would marry. -- Paris Hilton. I know what you're thinking, but hear me out. A) She's an heiress. an heiress. B) until her untimely, tragic, and not-at-all suspicious tractor accident on the set of The Simple Life, I would have the satisfaction of handing out thousands of Publishers Clearing House-sized reality checks.

9. Do you wear a watch? What kind? -- Timex. It was the last christmas present my mom gave me.
10. Do you have anything pierced? -- There might be some metal in my jawbone I guess.

12. Do you like pain? -- not really. I guess I like it by association, like if I pop a really big zit sometimes it hurts, but, well you know the rest.

14. What was the last thing you paid for with cash? -- bus fare.

17. What is on your desktop background? -- At work right now, it's this. Until recently though, it was this: at home, it's the default XP background. 18. What is the background on your cell phone? -- The default. Sprint has this new thing called Power Vision and On Demand, where it has what are basically widgets on the main screen, telling me time, headlines, the temperature, etc, along with some useful links. I like it so I keep it.
19. What was the last movie you watched? -- The Illusionist. Good, but I'd like to have seen more real magic instead of CG.
20. What was the last book you read? -- Read 'em and Reap, by Joe Navarro. Basically a book on poker tells using FBI techniques for determining lies in interrogation. Sadly a lot of casinos are creating rules preventing you from stripping your table mates naked, bagging their heads and piling them up in a neat little pyramid to determine their hole cards. Pretty soon I won't have any tactics left.
So I heard this on the radio heading over to the Park'n'Ride this morning, and I felt sorry for the 100 or so people who had suffered from Carbon Monoxide poisoning, and the 8 that died, until the reporter said that the latest victim died after putting his charcoal grill in his bedroom overnight.
Embittered as I was from being denied the ability to take sunset photos, I felt the urge to get outside and take some pictures today. I should've gone up earlier, but when I saw this huge bright white cloud lurching across the south end on its way to Bellevue, I had to take a picture.
Alright, so I guess my last post didn't go over so well. But since today is so lovely, I decided I wanted to see a snowflake. Since that ain't happening, I went to www.snowcrystals.com. Their photo galleries, and guide to snowflakes are very interesting. They've even got pictures of artificial snow.
Wow, it's been a long time since I've written anything of note. This is mostly just a quick update to help remedy that. Let's see... Last Saturday went to Ben and Kim's party, had a great time, Sunday went to see Reel Big Fish with Parker, which was a lot of fun, and a great thing for me since I am a huge RBF fan; more about that later. Tuesday was Sit'n'Gos at Jillians again, Wednesday was the extended bounty format with Parker (who made it to the final table, while I busted out fairly early on), Thursday watched Lost which was good but not great (Yay Nathan Fillon!), and looking forward to the weekend.
I am very sad to see that of the 10 states that had same-sex/domestic partner issues on the ballot, all of them (except one, which is being counted, currently at 49/51 in favor of allowing domestic partnerships) have voted against rights for gay couples. The closest thing I have to hope is the fact that most of them came within a few percent of being voted in favor of equal rights, but that isn't saying much, since 9 of them were for outright banning same-sex marriage.
